Okay, back in March I wrote an entry here called The Power of the Force, which detailed how my life changed when I finally started moving resolutely towards my goals.
Well, a few days ago Steve Pavlina (who I mentioned in said entry) asked for people to submit stories about how what he had written had helped people. He was going to judge the stories and award the winner with a CD of Earl Nightingale‘s The Strangest Secret. So I posted a link to my story.
And I won. And now there’s an entry on Steve’s blog mentioning me and my story.
Whoa.
Hi ,
I really have nothing to do with “game development”, and computers, but something you wrote resonated with me. When, in your reflection on accomplishments, you mentioned having succesfully accomplished whatever you put your mind to, in your past, it kind of reminded me of when years ago, seeing a psychiatrist, he made many notes on our conversations, and in reviewing these notes, I came across the words he’d written in parithisis, (THING IS…She hits the nail on the head…EVERYTIME!)
In looking back, and reviewing his notes, those words, written there had a big impact on me. I lost so much doubt I carried, concerning myself, and my ability to guage reality, and predict outcomes, and make decisions, in an entire array of areas in my life, and because of this confirmation, my life has improved so very much.
Congradulations, in receiving the CD, and best of blessings to you.
