And now I’m just being completely unfair.
How so? Well…because this screenshot never actually appeared in the game in question. That’s right…I’m asking you to name a game from a screenshot that isn’t actually from the game.
But I don’t feel too bad because frankly, I’m pretty sure someone will come up with the name anyway. You guys are crazy like that.
Now…why am I doing this? All will be answered tomorrow.
Yeah. I got nothing. But it does remind me of Star Control 2. I seem to remember that star field had different size stars, though.
BTW – Woot! on restoring the feed. Now you’re re-integrated into my Google Reader collective. You’re in good company.
Ah, thank you! Turns out when I added StatCounter code I borked the feed. Since I don’t do much with RSS I didn’t know about it until people complained. StatCounter’s out; I’ve already got Google Analytics integrated and that seems to be working fine and does the same thing.
You’re on the right track with Star Control 2…but remember, this screenshot didn’t appear in the game, even though it would have been very helpful to the game’s players. Think about why that might be.
Grrr…seems that while the feed was borked nothing went through, so there’s a hole in the updates of about a month and I don’t know how to fix it.
Now…when you say “not in the game” does it mean the game is a space-genre game and this screenshot never made it in, or is it a screenshot from a game not even in the neighborhood of a space-genre game? 🙂
I’m guessing Space Quest!
It’s definitely a space-genre game. Like I said, Star Control 2 was on the right track. But I cannot at this time divulge why there could not be a screenshot like this in the game.
Man this one is a head scratcher.
It wouldn’t be fun/fair anymore if I just kept listing games, so I will give it just one more shot and leave it at that.
Master of Orion (I or II)?
Sorry, no. The Master of Orion games actually had in-game starmaps. See my next post for the answer!
