Oh yeah, that WOULD be great! Did you play the Microgames from, I think, MetaGaming, back in the day, before Steve Jackson became Steve Jackson? They covered that stuff in there too I believe.
I actually came along too late and never encountered a Microgame “in the wild”. I loved the concept, though, and loved reading the designer’s notes in the early Space Gamers (I actually have a lot of issues of the Space Gamer/Fantasy Gamer). I’d love a PDF archive of the whole run so I could stop having to buy issues off Ebay and so I wouldn’t have to worry about spilling anything on them…
I sold box loads of games when I moved into the house we’re in now, both to clear out space, and to partially settle a debt with a friend (along with about 1100 paperbacks). However, I just could NOT bring myself to part with the Microgames. They just don’t take up space and have a special place in my heart. Now only if I had people to play them with 🙂 Darn people having kids and lives and stuff – hehe
